Acupuncture is an artform that utilizes the body's energy to bring about homeostasis and healing. By inserting thin sterile needles into the body, an Acupuncturist is able to redirect your Qi (energy) and help it find its most peaceful state of being. As your Qi moves correctly there will be a reduction of your pain and the other forms of discomfort you are experiencing. Acupuncture is a type of holistic medicine that treats the mind, body and spirit while focusing on the patient's individuality and lived experience.
Classical Chinese Acupuncture creates a specialized treatment based on the energetic needs of an individual. In conjunction with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this type of Acupuncture focuses on the channel systems known as the Divergent Meridians, Luo Channels, and Eight Extraordinary Vessels. Classical Acupuncture is special because of its ability to address issues regarding spiritual/emotional unrest and chronic physical ailments. A Classical Acupuncturist will always be in search of the root of your health concern, not just the manifestations.

Your first Acupuncture session with Carly will last for 1.5 to 2 hours. This includes an extensive conversation about your entire health journey. Carly will then assess your vitals via pulse palpation and observation of your tongue. You will then proceed to have a 20-40 minute Acupuncture session in which you rest with the inserted needles. You will have the option to sit in a comfortable recliner or lay on a massage table.
Your follow up sessions will consist of 20 minutes of talk therapy and 20-40 minutes of resting time with the Acupuncture needles.
Acupuncture is intended to be preventative medicine, but it best known for treating:
And the list goes on...just call to find out!

For the last 15 years I have been a Classical Chinese Acupuncturist in the Woodbridge and Edison, New Jersey areas. I was trained in Classical Chinese Medicine under the guidance of Jeffrey Yuen, and have continued my educational experiences in China and in the United States.

My passion for Acupuncture grew of a sense of curiosity and a search for hope. I grew up with a family member who suffered from a chronic degenerative illness. By living through her experiences with Western medicine, I saw first hand the confusion and general frustrations she encountered while trying to navigate the healthcare system. Though the extensive amount of medicines she was given helped to extend her life, it did not help improve the quality. Each new medicine seemed to bring about an additional complication. Observing all of this planted a seed within me to find something different to help her. And more importantly to find a true healing that did not create more problems.
The answer was Classical Chinese Acupuncture.

I came across Acupuncture in my search for an 'alternative.' What I discovered was the oldest, most unique, and simplest form of medicine. The most incredible part of being an Acupuncturist is to help a patient realize that their ability to heal resides entirely within themselves. For me, there is nothing more beautiful than being able to share in the experience of healing and to help others to live a life full of quality and harmony.
